Internet Bookings:Customers may now book their NCT
on line by clicking here
To use our on line facility simply type in your car registration number + Booking
I.D (which can be found at the top of your NCT Booking letter) or date of first
registration of the vehicle (which can be found on your vehicle registration book,
registration certificate or licensing certificate.
Telephone Bookings: We have a dedicated team who are available
to help you with booking your test, just call our Booking line on LoCall 1890 412
413 from 8am to 8pm (Mon-Thurs) and 8am to 6pm (Fri) for confirmations, re-arrangements
or cancellations of appointments

Fax Bookings: Clients may send their confirmations, cancellations

Booking Procedure: If your car is eligible for the NCT please
refer to testing chart in the frequently asked questions
section then please phone us on 1890 412 413 or you can check our on-line service.
NCTS is currently sending NCT Booking letters to eligible customers.
Following the receipt of this Booking letter, the customer must contact NCTS to
confirm, re-arrange (change the time, date or centre) or cancel their booking.
If the customer does not reply through one of the various methods mentioned above
to the NCT Booking letter, their appointment will be automatically cancelled 10
working days prior to their appointment date (Monday to Friday not including the
day of the appointment).
Once the customer HAS CONFIRMED an appointment with NCTS, it can still be rearranged
by using our on-line booking service or phoning our LoCall Booking Line (1890 412
413).
Remember: It is necessary to give NCTS five working days notice
(not including the day of the test). If you cancel or rearrange this confirmed appointment
within five working days (Monday- Friday) of the test date (not including the day
of the test), or fail to show up for the test, a €22.00 surcharge will be applied
when the vehicle is next brought for testing.
Any queries relating to the cancellation fee may be made in writing to the Customer
Service Department, National Car Testing Service Ltd., Lakedrive 3026, Citywest
Business Campus, Naas Road, Dublin 24.
All RE-TESTS must be booked within 21 days of the initial test.
Re-test which do not require the use of a test lane, will be free of charge. Free
re-tests will cover minor visual items such as replacement of windscreen wiper and
registration plates.
Re-tests must be completed within 30 days of the initial test or a full test will
need to be repeated and charged accordingly.
How do I know if my car is eligible for testing?: Testing was introduced
back in 2000 on a phased basis and it continues to do so. To see what year your
