In 2009 Applus secured the car testing business contract for a period of ten years in Ireland. This contract commenced operation in 2010 employing an average of 600+ staff country wide. The testing business required a large network of staff to include Management & Operations. There are currently 47 test centres in Ireland which are primarily managed by a team of 5 Regional & 6 Test Centre Managers.
In addition to the car testing business Applus subsequently secured a further 6 contracts in Ireland between 2010 and 2014. These additional contracts include vehicle safety, registration & verification of vehicles, inspections & the communication of road safety to local communities.
